LayerFX

I’ve been meaning to make some video tutorials for some time now… what a pain in the butt. I started with something pretty simple. I created the space-age looking image above using layer effects and modes. The downloadable file includes the video, the PSD file, and the brush and font that I used. I wanted the video quality to be good so the download is pretty large. I’m interested in seeing how it works out for you, please take a look and give me some feedback. Thanks!

Raja Bell Wallpaper

Sunday, October 15th, 2006

I admit it’s a bit queer to make a wallpaper about another dude. But I can’t help it, Raja Bell is my hero. Anyone who willingly puts kobe down on his back like Raja did has my vote. The two images are similar, but one is just the Suns logo for the fans that don’t want to step over that line. I used a cool photo from the Hubble telescope for the background.

Sorry, these are only available in 1024px right now.

Standalone IE 5.1, 5.5, & 6

Friday, April 28th, 2006

Anyone who uses CSS based design knows about the joys of IE compatibility. I just recently set out to find older versions of IE to test my sites compatibility with the older browsers. It’s next to impossible to run parallel installs of different versions of IE because of its integration into the OS, but why install when you can run it right out of the box, install free? Attached to this post is a zip file containing IE 5.01, 5.5 and 6. This will allow you to install and start testing version 7 but still be able to refer back to previous more common versions until 7 hits the mainstream.
