I can’t take credit for the photos used in this brush. Just some beat down classic cars I found on flickr. Old cars lend themselves to grunge brushes… hope you enjoy.

I’ve been meaning to make some video tutorials for some time now… what a pain in the butt. I started with something pretty simple. I created the space-age looking image above using layer effects and modes. The downloadable file includes the video, the PSD file, and the brush and font that I used. I wanted the video quality to be good so the download is pretty large. I’m interested in seeing how it works out for you, please take a look and give me some feedback. Thanks!

I admit it’s a bit queer to make a wallpaper about another dude. But I can’t help it, Raja Bell is my hero. Anyone who willingly puts kobe down on his back like Raja did has my vote. The two images are similar, but one is just the Suns logo for the fans that don’t want to step over that line. I used a cool photo from the Hubble telescope for the background.
Sorry, these are only available in 1024px right now.

I always felt like old blueprints made the best grunge effects so I decided to scour the web and find some great images with which to make brushes. I went ahead and grunged them all up for you. These were made in Photoshop CS2 so I’m not sure if they will work in PS7.

This building was too creeepy to NOT use it for a brush. The last few of my brushes were created in Photoshop CS2 and are only compatible with CS2, sorry PS7 users. I’m working on getting them converted.

In a bid to out-jackass Microsoft, Adobe makes a similar miscalculation by removing Windows Explorer’s ability to generate thumbs of your PSD files. The sole purpose of this is to force you to use their built in image browser, but in reality it is forcing users to search the Internet for a “fix” as if this is some kind of bug. Good move Adobe…
To make things easier I created a quick patch that includes the DLL file and registry tweaks needed. Just download the file, run it, click ‘extract’ then agree to add stuff to the registry… you’re all set. Don’t worry the EXE is virus free, but if you don’t trust me (which you shouldn’t because this is the internet) then run a quick virus scan before-hand.

Every now and then I get lucky when I’m out looking for crap to waste money on. A few years back I dropped a couple bucks on some old books that just looked cool. I don’t know why I bought them. Maybe I was an interior decorator at heart and subconsciously knew these would go great with my future antique curtains and wall treatments…
Well anyway, as luck would have it they turned out making great Photoshop Brushes. I had a little photo session today to get them all archived. If anyone wants color originals of these files let me know.

I was bored so I took a few shots of my jacked up landscapeless backyard. Looks like the serengeti out there. Anyway, a dried up lifeless backyard makes for some good textures. Click the image above to view a sample and the filename below to download.

I added some concrete block brushes to the collection I already posted of the grungy brick wall a few months back. This is just a more complete collection now. Enjoy. Click on the image to enlarge and the filename below to download.

Due to popular demand I’ve created a 2nd hibiscus Photoshop brush. This brush includes many different flavors and styles not seen in my first version. Let me just say as a disclaimer that I did not create the base hibiscus images, I just added a couple grungy touches here or there and converted them to brush form. Please do not use these for commercial purposes. Thanks.
UPDATE: I now have a Photoshop 7 version of this brush for those of you who don’t have CS quite yet. You can click the link below to download.
